WHY IS THIS THE RIGHT AERIAL HOOP FOR ME?

1-Point Aerial Hoops are the most widely used Aerial Hoop. The single tab is simple to rig and ideal for spinning with a swivel.

A 1-Point Aerial Hoop has more stability and predictability when rigged from the tab than a 0-Point/tabless hoop. But if you want to choke soft rigging directly to the hoop, you can!

With limited height, a 1-Point or 0-Point hoop is best when compared to a 2-Point hoop.

Studios usually prefer to use a 1-point or 0-point hoop, and so do most beginners.

Some advanced moves benefit from having the hoop rigged from its tab (opposed to having a strop choked onto the bar). Moves such as Beats to Front Balance, Coffin Drop, and other catch and release moves from the top bar work best when you make use of the rigging point. That’s because it makes the hoop’s movements more predictable, and the performer doesn’t need to consider which side of the choke they are on.

Our Aerial Hoops come ready to rig up and use out of the box, with a grippy matt powder coating that is durable and looks great. However, the bare powder coating can take a little while to warm up (like a pole dancing pole), so many people prefer to tape their hoop up in one of our many colorful grip tapes.

WHICH SIZE DO I NEED?

You can see our size guide for a standard Aerial Hoop here.

You might also want to consider going up a size if you intend to use this hoop for doubles.

HOW DO I RIG THIS AERIAL HOOP?

You can choke a Polyester Strop from the center, sitting at the tab. Attaching soft rigging directly to the hoop is good for reducing metal on metal wear at the tab and removes hardware from where you will hock on.

You can attach a Polyester Strop to the tab with a carabiner.

If you do not want the Aerial Hoop to spin, you need to connect your strop/rope to your anchor point with a carabiner. We recommend this when you want to keep a hoop rigged from one point facing an audience. We would also recommend this if you’re using a Prodigy Rig or don’t have much height.

If you want to spin, you need a carabiner at the top of the rope/strop, connected to a swivel and then another carabiner securing you to your anchor point.
